Kidderminsters First Cinema
In its first major deal, a top-up loan from Impetus has helped realise the dream of people in Kidderminster, Worcestershire to have their own cinema. The Warehouse Cinema opened on Friday 15th April 2005 and since then has been regularly selling out its screenings.
Steve Williams, development manager of Impetus, said: "We were delighted to have been able to help the Warehouse Cinema. This first loan is a big milestone for Impetus. Now we are looking to help other small businesses that find themselves in the same position of having a viable business plan but are finding it difficult to win sufficient funds from the usual lenders.”
The Warehouse Cinema was initially referred to Impetus from the Black Country Reinvestment Society, another CDFI based in the West Midlands but who operate outside our area.
