New Art Gallery For Leominster

A community arts company relocating to Leominster has become the first in north Herefordshire to benefit from an Impetus loan.

A bridging loan of £35,000 was provided to arts company Publics Art Route to help purchase 7, South Street and convert it into an art gallery along with incubator units for young artists. Now Impetus is looking for more local enterprises to help.

The bridging loan was provided as the 30% contribution Public Art Route needed in order to access a mortgage from Triodos Bank.

Jaime Murray-Jackson of Publics Art Route said, “Without the support of Impetus we would never have got the funds together to make this happen. We’re very busy working on the property at the moment and hope to open for business early in the new year.”
